Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Blecccchhhh!
I love this strip….
you KNOW I do, Tony….
but sometimes….
just now and then….
there’s an eeensy weeensy little problem with a guy writing a “girl strip”….
I don’t wanna sound sexist or anything….
But only icky nasty boys do things like that.
They can’t help it cos they’re full of snips and snails and boogers and stuff.

@SusanSunshine
But Agnes isn’t an ordinary girl.
And yes, that is sexist.
And if girls are sugar and spice and everything nice …I must have gone school with some horribly cruel, vicious creatures that only looked like girls.
Having said all that … let me echo:
Bleeeeeech!

Oooh, sorry Bruno….
I tried to serve that on wry….
But it’s hard to show facetiousness here…
let me give it a few twinkles…

Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy your comments … as do many others, it would seem.
The only thing that annoys me really … is that you tend to get in the best lines first!

It’s not only flocking. You also have to worry about splinters if you get the gum from under benches.

I wonder if there is a best season for gathering gum. Perhaps when it’s cold and the gum congeals to a hard solid; it would pull off more easily from beneath bleachers, shoes, concrete, etc.

And Trout actually TRIED that crap???
I thought she was smarter than that!

Used something like this at a bowling alley to remove gum from the approaches and bowling shoes.

It freezes the gum so you can chip off.
Then to reuse just wrap in an old sock and microwave.
Softens and flocks at the same time.
How cool is that!

And thanks, Bruno!

@SusanSunshine
are you referring to those booger brained boys? The ones that though they can do the math, still believe jumping off a roof on to a trampoline is a good idea?
.
girls would never do that. Girls would be practising their sword techniques and kicks. Waiting for when the dragon shows up….. while the booger brained boys are in the hospital laughing inside their casts at their YouTube adventures.
