Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Not too optimistic, huh Agnes?

She was traumatised by the Christmas experience. Now she’s got snowofobia.

Smartly sibilant, but silly and pessimistic supposition, Agnes.
Go to sleep, sweetie, I’m sure it’s safe.

There was a story a while back about the roof of a sports arena collapsing under the weight of heavy snow.
It was in Minnesota, I think.

Sure that wasn’t Hartford, CT, about 1987?

I was told by the editors that"snorkel" was for water and "snorkle"was the one they used for snow survival.Sorry.

Whoa, Tony, there’s a snow surviving snorkle? Never heard of it. SUSAN NEWMAN Yes, the Viking’s Metrodome collapsed under snow on Dec. 12, 2010. The video of the stadium collapsing is a viral video available all over the Internet.

Their trailer is like a tardis, much larger on the inside than on the outside. Amazing.

Agnes is now sensitive to danger from snow. How can she not? She had a disturbing experience. Fortunately Grandma Picklepuss is an old hand at it.

We got snow yesterday. Nice big, fat, fluffy , full on blizzard snow fell for an hour. Got out in it during coffee break. The snowflakes kept missing my tongue and hitting my nose.
.
and the snow was gone before lunch. sigh.

@Hunter7
I grew up in Iowa and spent many a day trying to catch snowflakes on my tongue a la Lucy Van Pelt. I never caught one. Which disproved my brother’s theory that I had “a big mouth.”
