Yep. Horrifying and it’s all really what he’s intent on doing.

Fortunately, we CAN prevent it, but it means voting not just for Biden but Blue candidates all the way down.

And the most terrifying thing is that Project 2025 is worse than what he talked about, and that’s what is going to be done. Republicans have to lose in November, or Democracy is done. Not just here but everywhere as the rest will collapse in short order.

Please, please, please. Let media actually headline the article and its contents. Let people actually read it. Let the public have the imagination to picture and realize what life would truly be like if Trump is elected. Let people vote Blue and more Blue and more Blue, so that even corrupt courts and gerrymandered maps will not be enough to let our democratic values be destroyed.

I wonder what they wrote about why all these horrors never happened when he did win in 2016.

Sad the Dems have nothing to really run on in terms of policies.

Some ask why Trump didn’t do all this the first term. The answer is simple. He didn’t have enough time. But he laid the groundwork by replacing the judiciary with yes-people. He undermined all the foundations of democracy including the very electoral system to the point where Republicans in legislative bodies have openly said they don’t actually have to recognize vote counts if they don’t like them. As has been said many times of Republicans — all of them, not just Trump — they want to rule, not represent. If they get the power they want, they will finish the job, and our experiment with representative democracy will be over.

In Missouri (unfortunately, my home state) more than 380,000 Missourians signed an initiative petition to put abortion on the ballot. All they needed was 171,000 signatures. Wouldn’t it be great if we swung the state to Biden? It is still a long shot, but it will make more Democrats and independents show up than ever before, so now we have a chance.

Google: Time Magazine if he wins

It ain’t pretty. The following is just a sample.

“Donald Trump thinks he’s identified a crucial mistake of his first term: He was too nice.

We’ve been talking for more than an hour on April 12 at his fever-dream palace in Palm Beach. Aides lurk around the perimeter of a gilded dining room overlooking the manicured lawn. When one nudges me to wrap up the interview, I bring up the many former Cabinet officials who refuse to endorse Trump this time. Some have publicly warned that he poses a danger to the Republic. Why should voters trust you, I ask, when some of the people who observed you most closely do not?"

I find Trump’s political views and his demeanor abhorrent. I see him as one of the most transparently self-serving people on Earth who, by far, wants nothing more than to get elected for the sole purpose of pardoning himself and making himself richer.

Now do one if Biden gets re-elected. You know like, Inflation will continue, as will high interest rates, high grocery prices, high number of illegal aliens (another 9 million?), increasing crime in major democrat run cities, concerns with the axis of evil (Iran, China, Russia, and North Korea) because none of those leaders fear or respect the guy that enters and exits AF1 by the luggage entrance.

If.. he wins it will further prove there are two justice systems in America. It will prove that America elects leader on popularity not ability or competence, a practice that would spell doom for any fortune 500 company. And it proves that he who controls the popular media wins, propaganda works.

I’ve seen in former Twitter comments by author Steven King about Trump, not a fan of the Tr/D umpster fire. It could be far more pointed if his was the horrified face reading Time but King’s face isn’t more immediately iconic.

And anytime you have to explain a joke, it loses effect.

Vote for Biden in 2024, but don’t forget that every seat in the House and one third of the Senate (33 seats) are up for reelection as well! We need to keep the White House blue to be sure, but we also need to widen our Senate majority and flip the House from red to blue! If there are local races (Mayor, City Council, School Board, etc.) in your area, those are important too! In 2016, 49% of eligible voters didn’t bother to cast their ballots! We can’t let that happen again.

This is the real fear many of us face, what if Dump should win. But, I suppose this has always been a possibility for our democracy. In 2016, the Repub leadership didn’t believe that Dump had a prayer is becoming their candidate. But, the Repub voters thought otherwise. And, thanks to Dump’s campaign manager running a well fought campaign, Dump won the electoral college vote. Now, we see that old Repub party is no more, and the new party of Dump is in the mainstream and it is just possible, once again, that Dump could win the presidency. But, again, this is the threat of having a democracy. We have no filter to weed out incompetent candidates from running for the highest position of all. And, I’m not so sure we’d want such a filter as who would design it? This sounds too much like a current Russian state of democracy. VOTE BLUE EVERYONE. VOTE BLUE. VOTE BLUE.

From the first part of the article: “To carry out a deportation operation designed to remove more than 11 million people from the country, Trump told me, he would be willing to build migrant detention camps and deploy the U.S. military, both at the border and inland. He would let red states monitor women’s pregnancies and prosecute those who violate abortion bans. He would, at his personal discretion, withhold funds appropriated by Congress, according to top advisers.”

Donald Trump and the GOP and Project 25 have all made it clear their goal is to end American democracy in favor of an Orban style theocratic autocracy. The GOP has embraced bigotry and isolationism and white supremacy. They have promised to round up 11 million immigrants and put them in detention camps on the way to deportation (if they make it that far). They have promised vengeance against their political enemies, and the recent sweep up of peaceful protestors shows they have an army of police on their side.

Anyone who thinks they’re going to treat any of these prisoners with basic human dignity or support their human rights is fooling themselves. You know what they’re going to do. They know what they’re going to do. And Kristi Noem is angling to be Trump’s VP pick because she knows he will need a strong running mate who will have no problem with his plans for rounding up innocent people, reporters, immigrants, professors, and anyone else who speaks out publicly against them. Choosing to include in her book a story of her willingness to slaughter an innocent creature without remorse was not a dumb move or a mistake on her part. It was an audition.

The simple-minded RWNJ commenters, just on this one Bennett toon, all adopt a simplistic reason for all problems, foreign and domestic, and all the wars everywhere in the world:

It’s all the fault of “Biden” and “Leftists” whenever they have the Presidency.

There is no reasoning with them, no pointing out reality. Like any thoroughly-radicalized terrorist or religious zealot, they refuse to accept anything their lyin’ eyes and ears tell them that goes against their programmed bias. They truly are permanently brainwashed.
