This is cute, but I get the feeling I’m missing something. Is the phrase “Larry/Duke Paradox” a play on words of a famous phrase?

My cat was born and raised with dogs and he loves dogs. He’ll go up to a strange dog and say, “Come on, let’s be friends.” He does not do the Cat/Dog fight thing.
