So while they’re more eco-friendly in the sense of helping free us from fossil fuels, they’re playing havoc with the populations of several species of birds.
Solar isn’t much better, as many of the materials used to make them come from China. There are photos online showing the mining sites where they’re extracted, and they’re often horribly polluted due to water getting into everything.
