One of the problems I see with this cartoon is that it appears that the ISIS “dragon” has been slain – and it hasn’t!ISIS has over 10,000 members under the direct control of the Kurds in various “resettlement” camps.

Now that Trump has “released” the Turkish lion on the Kurds, the Kurds will have no men left to watch over their ISIS captives.

So “Emperor” Trump’s actions have three likely simultaneous outcomes -

    1. Our ally, the Kurds will likely suffer grievous losses

    2. ISIS will start rebuilding their Caliphate

    3. Trump’s Istanbul Towers will remain “safe” (until Turkey’s dictator, Erdoğan, wants something else)

And, of course, America will be going along for Trump’s ride, whether we want to or not, because, while Trump is most assuredly Putin’s and Erdoğan’s Bit*ch, America is most assuredly Trump’s Bit*ch. The republicans, at any rate, seem to be loving it and are still pitching in to buy the Vaseline; the rest of us are just ‘screwed’!

I can’t stand it — the Kurds have died along side the U.S. How could we betray them like this??
