the rest of the reindeer team is in Panama, India, China and Uruguay. And all that working smarter and harder will help pay for the big CEO bonuses and perks while wages decline and benefits diminish. Gotta love it. The American way.

Corporations were given the right to unlimited secret spending on political bribes by an activist conservative supreme court. If only they also had to abide by my personal income tax rules, we’d have the deficit solved in weeks!

Does that include George Cooney? He’s incorporated and spends and squirrels away his millions in Italy!

“GM cutting everyone but the Unions”

Uh, really? I think they didn’t.

“Would have made the rest stronger. ”

Right, the fall of an iconic US company like GM would have been a good thing back in the freefall of 2008-9. Business would have blossomed… not. I’d say there’s an even bigger chance the other companies would be left reeling, to say nothing of all the industries that would feel the impact of a whole lot of people suddently having a lot less money.

What does kill you, leaves you dead.

In a competitive job market, the employee is always free to “find a better offer.” We don’t have to be slaves if we don’t want to…..

Besides, state workers are seeing furlough days, pay freezes, etc…just like the rest of America.

That bag is filled with SantaCorp’s record profits. They’re on their way to Mr. S. Claus’ off-shore bank.

“In a competitive job market, the employee is always free to “find a better offer.” ”

In an economy where there are sufficient number of open positions, yes… to the extent that the employee is limited by the (possibly significant) costs that relocating and retraining involve. However, if the economy is in a downturn and jobs have been lost, the employee might NOT be able to find a better offer on account of there being more unemployed than available jobs.
