@ HarryCK: I was really lucky to grow up in the “free” part of Germany (my home was 15 km = 9 miles linear distance away from the border), but many of the relatives of my husband were living “drüben” in the GDR, and we knew how hard it was. At that time we got the permission to visit them but the relatives got permission only in extreme cases to visit us in the free part.. I’m glad we are no longer a divided country.
By the way Harry, I love your thought that your heart will be with me in my solitary garden sessions… ☺
