Analysis of spy agency websites found that 32% of the CIA's pages have spelling and grammatical errors- the worst rate found. (Man 1: They used "irregardless"?!?) (Man 2: Our web guy'd be beheaded for that!) "Their" vs. "They're" "it's" vs. "its" "emigrate" vs "immigrate""heroin" vs "heroine" very sloppy. (Man: continuous war, not continual!) At the CIA, quality is clearly not job one. Even the public face of the agency is rushed out. The attitude is: good enough for government work. (Man 1: We'll funnel the weapons across the Wyoming border-) Which explains their even higher mistake rate (98%) when no one is watching. (Man: Potheads)
The reason spelling has gotten so bad is that we now have machines that spell for us. It is like many skills humans used to have, but no longer do. Taken to the extreme, we can’t even make stone tools anymore to use for hunting! Imagine how deficient the educational system has become we we can’t even make stone tools anymore!
