Gee, sure is a shame they’re working to reunite over 3,500 kids with their parents. Gosh, that might make somebody think the WH is full of human beings and not racists, pedophiles, misogynist, and Nazis.
Our government has colluded with corporations and the very rich to make sure these countries wealth and resources flow to our country regardless of the damage done to these countries. Our actions have created countries where the citizens want to live somewhere else. We do create our own problems and don’t like admitting any.
Several years ago I listened while a woman ranted about a little girl whose parents had brought her to the US for medical treatment. I think the child was from Guatemala, but don’t quote me. She kept repeating that the parents “should have waited” – for what, she never said. The point was, we had interfered with the elections in that country (what else is new?) and installed a government that was “loud and proud” about deliberately eradicating the Native population. (Boy! Does that sound like Columbus vs the Carib Indians!) I pointed this out and asked what she was supposed to wait for? “Well, I still think she should have waited.” I had to sit on my hands to keep from smacking her, so I finally just excused myself and walked away.
AND, before some coo-coo Qpublican (Looking at you, sillybilly) starts spouting off MORE LIES AND UTTER NONSENSE about an “Open Border”, that ain’t happening, and it NEVER HAS!
You don’t like it? Demand that Congress pass an immigration reform law. Until then, learn to shut up and accept what the president does. Like Obama did, like Trump did, like Biden did, like whoever is next will do.
OMG, she actually said something the rightwingers agree with. So what do they do? Lambaste her for saying it! Downright risible if it weren’t even more annoying.
