Despite the denial by the math-challenged “conservatives” here, this deficit arithmetically cannot be solved by spending cuts alone. Especially when Republicans won’t name a single spending cut that they’d support. We should first pay attention to jobs, which are a much more important problem. Government spending creates jobs, and government spending is now free (since we can borrow at negative interest). We need stimulus now, and when the economy starts flourishing again, as it did under the stimulus packages in WWII, under Reagan, and under Clinton, don’t let people like W give the surplus to the rich, but pay down the debt we took on to get the economy going.

Manufacturing jobs are now readily available in industrial areas of the US. However, that is only IF you have the necessary industrial education to get such jobs. In fact, even companies (such as my own old stomping ground Rocketdyne) that have been formerly laying off, are now somewhat desperately searching for the right help. IF you have the right qualifications please go ahead and apply.And no, I must admit I do not know if these conditions are because of federal stimulus packages, but I do know that they helped the US get through the worst of the latest recession.Is it your hatred of President Obama specifically, or just a general hatred of the USA that drives you to be such a negative jerk???

Obama put the war funding BACK on the budget, so spending LOOKS like it went up, even though the same amount was being spent. And for those of you who think the Caymans, et.al. report everything to the government, HA! Romney said there was no tax advantages. If so, why do it? Bring your money home and pay taxes. Oh, that’s probably what he did in the tax amnesty, which is why we’ll never see his pre-2010 taxes!
