The Gardner Museum in Boston has 13 empty picture frames where $500 M of paintings stolen in 1990 once hung. Les and Helen Brown of Long Beach, Calif., were born on the same day, were married for 75 years, and died one day apart in July 2013. In 1911, the Bonnot Gang invented the getaway car when they robbed the Societe Generale Bank in Paris and fled in a stolen 10 horsepower Delauney-Bellville limousine.

Two things about Mr. and Mrs. Brown: 1) At least they didn’t forget each other’s birthdays in their 75 years of wedded bliss and 2) quite interesting that either one of them didn’t stay widowed very long.

You misspelled Delaunay-Belleville and I don’t think the 10 HP model came out until 1919.

The tiny man in the upper-left hand corner looks awfully familiar… he looks like one of the “Screen Beans” one used to find in Microsoft Office’s Clip Art.

Can you believe they still haven’t found the paintings yet? And there’s like a $1 million reward!

Is that really an invention? They just used a preexisting machine for a new purpose.
