   130 years ago? The big switch was about 30 years ago.

   And when the Civil Rights legislation came up for a vote, a higher percentage of Republicans voted for it than Democrats. Don’t forget that it wasn’t until recently that the Democrats decided that they liked blacks. Halfway thru the Democrats supression of black (from the Civil War until the 1960s) Woodrow Wilson came to power and brought segregation to Washington D.C. He told the blacks who complained that he was “protecting” them. They needed to be in their own groups, so that they wouldn’t have to compete with whites, who would do better.

   Jim Crow is historically a Democrat. They invented him to put dowb the blacks, who at that time voted Republican.

   Thank you for all the years. I have personally cut out and preserved some of my favorites, that really speak to my situation (the mother who saves every little thing, why it is considered wrong to be talking on a cell phone while standing in a checkout linem, and taking the unread mail with you on vacation). Thank you for many happy years.
