   I’m not going to spoil it, but it’s about a group of thirty kids from the age of 1-12 Living in a orphanage in the country. surrounded by giant walls and a gate that leads to the outside world they are forbidden from seeing. but one day they discover the truth of their world. that’s a extremely simple synopsis, but it involves War, other species, a depressing commentary on politics, great villains, mysterious characters and A INCREDIBLE mystery that took a longtime to be solved but man, it was worth it. it’s a series I cannot recommend it enough. I had ONE problem with it. it was really, REALLY good. too good. I can no longer enjoy media as much because theirs always a thought in the back of my head:“it’s not as good as the promised Neverland”. I reread this series every month and Have currently read it over 30 times. and after reading it, when I go and look at big Nate…… It’s not as good. and Big Nate was why I kept coming back. So because I don’t enjoy big Nate anymore, I don’t really have any reason to stay on this site anymore, so….. see you GoComics. it’s been a good one. This is where My time with GoComics ends, and its been a good time. Thank you to this community, these authors and these illustrators for entertaining me for thousands of hours.    I know that nobody is gong to see this. but I don’t really care. so this is just gonna be a rant/PSA about two things. the first is my problem with modern big Nate. now keep in mind I have not read this series in over a month. I think my 3 years on Gocomics will be over soon, as I’ve found new and better online reading services, have become less interested in western cartoons as a whole and just don’t have the time to read for hours on end now like I could back in 2018. it sucks, but I do other things now. and the reason I started using Gocomics in the first place was because I wanted to read big Nate. And I have to thank big Nate because it introduced me to so many comics and series that I enjoyed tremendously. These include Foxtrot, Sarah’s Scribbles, BFGF syndrome (Which hasn’t been updated in over a year which makes me sad) and many more. but the reason that made me keep coming back to this site every day was simple. to read big Nate. and I don’t feel that urge to come back anymore. Why? because big Nate had a drop in quality. a pretty severe one too. not the humour or jokes, but the characters, and story arcs. oh god, the story arcs. I LOVE the old big Nate arcs. Soccer camp. Trudy. The new York chess trip. and SO many more that I absolutely LOVE. but the new ones are not very high quality and are honest to god boring. so I stopped. and that was it. I will check in every once in a while, but I’m probably gone forever. another reason? I have something else to compare it too. I recently read a series of comic books That changed how I perceive Media. That series is The Promised Neverland. this series is amazing. I love it SO much, and it uses a incredibly unique form of horror that it does so so well. it’s Writing is incredible and the characters……….. Oh My God. no other characters are as well written and perfected as much as these ones. there’s also hundreds of them. oh yeah by the way there are 20 books. it’s story is SO unique. continued in replies
