I’m half American and half French. I currently live in Sarcelles France (just North of Paris), and when I was in the US Army (1999 – 2002) I was stationed in Wurzburg Germany (101st M.I. 1st Inf. Div.) for about two years, and prior to that I was in Uijeongbu Korea (102nd M.I. 2nd Inf. Div.) for a year. The prior info is so that you don’t think I’m full of it.
Granted the US is the “worst” (of the countries I know) about nudity, but since about the 2000s most countries have gotten more uptight about nudity in general. We don’t even have the comercial with the cute girl naked in the shower anymore in France, and last time I went to the beach (it has been a few years) you don’t see nearly as many young women going topless, same with the public pool/water park in Madrid (older ones still do, they don’t give a flip).
And please don’t just group all European countries into one group. We are way to diverse for that. SHEESH!
Considering most countries treat nudity as something shameful and needs to be hidden… Not surprising.If it was a girl, it would be considered pornography (at the very least), and the character would most likely be covering her chest as well…
It’s sad that in the end it comes down to “hold your nose, and vote for the least stinky one”
As much as I wish I could believe that voting actually accomplished something, it has been proven time and time again that money makes the world go round. No matter who or what you vote for.
