While no big fan of Arpaio, any country that you go to requires you to carry ID. And we are also required to carry ID while we drive. So, what is the problem with having that ID checked at a routine traffic stop (although it better be a REAL valid traffic stop and not a trumped up charge).
motivemagus: You need to read your catechism of the Catholic Church. All good that we do is with His grace. All gifts that we have are from him. All goods that we have we are merely stewards of. And yes, while we have to make good choices and actions, as we strive to stay close to the Lord, for guidance and help. We may still stumble, and fall due to human frailties, but even then, all glory to Him – in successes and failures, for His glory.
Saying that churches should not have to, through ‘forced speech,’ inform their employees about abortifacts and birth control, let alone pay through it in some way or form – is what the issue is: Constitutionally protected religious freedom.
As a woman, and all of the women i know, we are NOT happy that we have to pay for others’ promiscuity and subsequent form of birth control: abortion. Women are entirely capable of self-control and taking care of ourselves. They don’t have to ‘cave’ on the sex issue and can wait until marriage and in a secure and loving relationship – a position of responsibility for the human life that sex brings into the world. We are women – hear us roar!
Get real. This is about someone about to have an ABORTION. Women are scanned often during their lives during pregancies, etc. It is a medical procedure. During an abortion there is a LOT more that is invasive to privacy going on while they are busy ripping the baby out of the women’s womb to kill it. Tools and hands etc are inserted. Women regret their abortions. Women Deserve Better than abortion as a solution.
