A spoonful of mustard usually works. As I understand it, the acidity of the mustard causes a slight muscle spasm that “resets” the muscle to default mode.

Having this problem currently with my dog Chinquapin…suddenly NO brand of food meets her picky needs…Including the $130 worth of Frozen FANCY dog food that is supposed to make her life much better…darnit.
Yep. And didn’t some comic book writer or artist get his cremation ashes mixed into inks the same way? I SEEM to recall that happening, but I’m getting old and mentally feeble.
When I was Foodservices Director of a Nursing Home one of my employees left me for a job at Kentucky Fried Chicken. When she picked up her last check she was telling me how horrible it was how they made their gravy. I asked how they made it. With a horrified expression she said “they use the oil they cook the chicken in”. I tried to gently tell her that’s how gravy was traditionally made. It wasn’t always a packet of powder and boiling water.
