We have 8PM curfew countrywide right now so no midnight fun out of the house for us this New Years Eve.

A lot of women “dumb it down” to survive in a sexist world. Its sad to see, but Auntie Socialist, don’t judge them too harshly. Those of us who refuse to “dumb it down” deal with the backlash on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis, not just in personal life (and yes, there are plenty of men out there who don’t like smart women, but there are plenty of men out there who are not intimidated by us), but also in our professional careers. Sometimes dumbing it down may be the fastest way to achieve the results you need to move forward in a career, I don’t blame those who use this tool, but I hope one day it wont ever been necessary.

The reason kids are excited about holidays is they get all the fun and none or little of the work, planning, cooking, inviting, cleaning, purchasing, etc that comes with celebrating all the holidays mentioned in the strip. I remember being a kid and being super excited about holidays. Now, I get excited, but not quite as much because I also know if I want a turkey, a costume, Halloween candy or a Christmas present or dinner, that I will most likely have to buy it, make it or cook it, myself.

So reading these comments I see over and over about men “helping” with raising children. I know that probably most commenters aren’t thinking about this, but using the word “helping” implies that the child raising is really the mother’s responsibility-the father is just “helping” the mother out. Which in 2020 its sad to see this over and over again. Both parents made the baby. The child should be their responsibility equally to care for. The father shouldn’t be “helping” or (god forbid) “babysitting” their own child. Its called doing your job as a parent-the same as Mom. Also, that needs to be recognized in the legal code with paternal leave to reinforce this.

Totally agree with you. Pressuring Toni is only going to make her feel like her relationship isn’t as great as she thought it was.

To me his answer isn’t weird, because hes completely right. Its been well proven through hundreds of studies that exercise combats anxiety, stress and depression. Anyone suffering from any level of any of those feelings will benefit from regular exercise, even if its just taking a walk. Yes, he is comfortable in his body and clearly works out a lot and has big muscles, but if you dont judge by appearance, he says insightful things. He’s not a dumb hunk by any means.

because you were there for them-she was neglected by her father for years. I had both my parents very much present and as a child my brother and I unintentionally destroyed a few things..pulled up all the stakes in the garden for some bean vines, painted the wall with our own decoration, I grabbed a red hot muffler with my bare hand, all kinds of fun stuff. None of it with any malicious intent on our part, but we learned!

Not surprising if she spent several years being quite neglected by her parents-it would be nice to see her grow emotionally and mature in the strip under the influence of Brad and Shannon-we shall see.
