Yes. It’s our job, making our husbands feel needed and manly. However, if we want something done right we do it ourselves.

My mother’s dad died at age 83; her mom died at 28. Her sister, who was 2 years younger than mom, died at 83. My dad died at 83. Mom lived by herself in the house she moved into when she got married until she was 101, when she moved in with me. She lived with me till she passed away 3 years ago; she was 3 months short of her 106th birthday. She still had all her faculties & knew the President was “some guy from tv”. I took her to vote. She used me as her walker when we went out because she didn’t want to “look like an old lady.”
