    It is certainly true that the R would not want to work with him on something that they were fundamentally against – that would be silly – just as the D’s now work to subvert anything T wants to do. But seems like there could be some issues that would cross party boundaries that could have been brought up. The prison systems would be a good start or the ridiculous cost of drugs veterans benefits – those seem like areas both could have worked toward.
