Wouldn’t it be nice if the son took Homer Simpson’s job if that’s the plant to which he’s referring?
Which sounds to me like a decent life, as long as the plant pays a decent wage (which, at least after a few years on the job, must be a LIVING wage)…
We need more people who can fix and program electronics.
Plugger kids get into college or tech school on their own merit, work to earn tuition money, with maybe a little financial help from mom & dad.
One of the things I don’t understand about the admissions scandal. Celebrities and other rich folk paid bribes to get into “elite” colleges. And they picked USC? A decent school, but elite?
This plugger’s dad went to college & got his degree tuition-free before Ronnie Raygun & co. got hold of the California state university system. This plugger’s grades & SATs were good enough & her family was poor enough to qualify for nearly full scholarships.
Hey! My wife and her sister both attended a community college and they both have doctorate degrees!
