Saudis financed it and pulled it off, so why ARE we in Afghanistan and Iraq?

It’s times like this that we need to remember to give thanks to George W. Bush.

He knew absolutely that we would be treated as liberators. And we’re still there, you know, liberating.

Eighteen years is a very short time. We haven’t really finished the Spanish American war yet. Moros are STILL fighting, and it’s been over 100 years.

How much does America being there add to the Afghanistan economy? ..Who knows, perhaps it’s in their best interest to keep a foreign power in their land…

You can’t end the undeclared war, where would our war profits go? How could we ever justify the biggest military budget in the world without killing people constantly?

The news reported on children dancing around the Isis flag the other day.

Trump admin dumped 40 tons of bombs on women and children last night.

The USA, the world’s biggest bully.

Being there protects the women of Afghanistan from the tender attention of the Taliban which leaves me very conflicted about removing our soldiers from there.

One of Bin Laden’s explicit goals was to bleed us dry economically, getting us involved in an expensive and unwinnable war. The neocons helped make his wildest dreams come true.

The only connection between 9/11 and Afghanistan is the lie incubated by the strong desire of Rove and Cheney to engage in a little limited easy to win war that would incidentally be very profitable for their friends.

Saudis funded and furnished the men, Pakistan trained and armed them. Both allies to the USA.

I lost two friends in 9/11. I’ll never forget. Another friend lost a floor of friends and colleagues: the CBC office in the WTC.

We invaded, defeated and overthrew the Taliban in under 90 days for harboring, supporting and giving safe haven to the terrorist group al Qaeda. The Bush/Cheney admin then put it in the back burner and lied us all into invading Iraq. President Obama finally put us back on track 19 years later to hunt down and kill the one who led and planned the 9/11 attack.

Why can’t our military come home; or, at least get paid the same rate that the Congress makes?
