Normally, I can’t watch Trump for very long, but I did watch that whole speech as it was aired. I was going to say “live” but Phil Hands’ cartoon perfectly describes Trump’s delivery.

Since then he is back to his hate- and lie-filled rhetoric. The descriptions put out of Sherrod Brown and Nan Whaley by the Trump team are appalling. They greeted Trump as he got off of Air Force One and took that opportunity to talk to him about gun control, which is exactly what they said in the press conference later. They also said that Trump was greeted warmly and his visits were appreciated by first responders, victims and their families. The Trump team claimed that they denigrated the visits, which is a complete lie, but Trumpettes will lap it up.

We need new words. “Mechanical” and “robotic” are inadequate for that delivery.

Zombie golem might work.

“We must condemn hate and racism,” Trump said.

Trump’s hate and racism is why the majority did not vote for him.

Wasn’t sincere, .. he had his fingers crossed behind his back, so whatever he said didn’t really count.

Shouldn’t there be a parenthetical “my” between “condemn” and “hate”?
