Peanuts by Charles Schulz for May 17, 1981
Sally is in the kitchen looking at a jar in her hands. She says, "And maybe a little mayonnaise..." She stands on a chair, making a sandwich, in the kitchen.

She has the sandwich on a plate and takes it over to Charlie Brown, who is sitting on a foot-stool watching t.v. She says, "Here's your sandwich, big brother." He looks at it, smiles, and says, "Thank you very much."

He smiles as she starts smiling and dancing around; she says, "If you were like your dog, you'd dance around when someone fed you."

She continues dancing and says, "Sometimes he goes like this..."

Charlie Brown gets up and starts dancing; he asks, "How about when he goes like this?"

They continue dancing and Sally sings, "Suppertime! Suppertime!" Charlie Brown sings, "Yeahh! It's Suppertime!"

They fall on the floor laughing heartily. Snoopy is by window watching them.

Snoopy lies on his back atop his doghouse and thinks, "I never realized they laughed at me behind my back...."

Now we see how Snoopy got his name.
