When the adults actually spoke…

When my girls were in later elementary school, we had a deal. They had to be physically in bed by 9; sleep was optional. The deal was that their attitudes had to remain good & their grades had to be passing. For the record, they both are still pleasant people; and the older girl was 3rd in her graduating class, and the younger one is 5th so far (she’s a senior).

We always kept a flashlight in the nightstand. Grab that sucker and get under the covers. Instant camping trip!

The Van Pelts were technically, the only parents who spoke in the beginning. And I think Charlie Brown’s Mom did once, too!

Very rare, as any tried and true Peanuts fan knows, Adults NEVER speak to the characters, the ONLY exception being Miss Othmar ( a muted trombone) in the animated specials! I consider Myself a Peanuts super fan and don’t remember this one.
