True story. My preschooler was being evaluated for speech therapy. He had to identify pictures of items. He had no idea what the iron or the vacuum cleaner was. The reason for that is that he had an older sibling with autism who was terrified of the vacuum cleaner, so I only ran it when they were in bed, or not home. For safety reasons, I never ironed when the kids were awake.
