Joe Pyle: You're listening to the Joe Pyle Show.. Let's let's begin today's program with a few rules changes for our knee jerk society... The issues facing us today are far too complex to be summed up under broad, simplistic labels. Just calling one's position on an issue as 'liberal' or 'conservative' neither negates opposing thought nor validates yours. Let's make an attempt at the civility of discourse rather than the bombast of dogma. Let's seek common ground rather than trying to bludgeon others to your point of view. Try to listen at least as much as you talk.... So if you're incapable of independent thought and have to learn on pre-digested dogma as a substitute... then hang up, educate yourself, and call back when your vocabulary has expanded beyond the words liberal and conservative! Man: I've gotta hand it to you, Joe... I would've bet anything that an entire phone system couldn't explode just by everyone hanging up at the sam time. Joe Pyle: Oh, shut up, Bob.
