I would actually like a definition of “poor handling of the case”. Exactly one case and fatality entered the U.S., two nurses attending, in a TEXAS hospital screwed up at some point, possibly minor, the protocols, and contracted the disease. Bother are apparently improving in condition, and the familiars to the victim are now out of quarantine.
There are no reported additional cases.
While Republicans, the idiot media-of all persuasions but of course mostly right wing nuts can’t understand what they’ve been told, repeatedly, about potential spread of the disease, and method of transmission, they’ve gone for fear, rather than facts.
How many MERSA cases right now in the U.S.? Influenza? Rabies? or multiple other serious or contagious diseases.
My disappointment is that Obama and the administration HAVE gone “overboard” in trying to satisfy the wing nuts.
Yes, Ebola is a serious and often lethal disease, but stupidity of all forms, from texting while driving, to panicking over a disease that has killed 1 out of 360 MILLION people ion the country, and has a LOW expectation of contagion in this country with our medical care, and methods of interrupting said transmission, is just too stupid for words.
Concern, certainly, PANIC, never a need.
Americans’ “courage under fire”, is more like they’re all hiding under the bed hugging their teddy bears, sobbing.
