$127.70 in the ’30’s? OUCH! Equivalent to about $12,000 in today’s money, I’ll bet!
Some who make it in the business blow their money on cars, drugs, etc. With Nancy, it was long-distance.
Do people still play chess by mail?
I like how early Guy acknowledges that the characters are effectively immortal.
&127 in 1938 is about $2,077 in 2017
Has there been any word on the future of the strip? I think I’d rather see it go away than to see years of reruns. Finding the right artist and writer to take over would be great, but that could take a while.
I enjoy the reruns of how the strip and characters developed..please continue
Was that the price in the original? In 1933?
I wasn’t there in 1933 to see the early strips. Keep them up!
I hope this is not the end for Nancy.
People:
These aren’t reprints, they’re simply a re-telling of earlier strips. This is Guy’s handiwork, not Ernie Bushmiller’s.
Guy don’t listen to MJ . Looks like the rest of us like what you are doing. Keep it up, because I never seen these before!
Ass-whupping time!!! No, I LIKE this little retro break……
