They’d have to join the book club on Family Tree to get wine.
Curiously, I never needed wine etc while reading. Just a comfortable chair, a decent light, Brubeck or Shearing or Charlie Byrd on the stereo, and what I hoped would be a good book.
Bring your own in an opaque water bottle.
Read a book on staying sober.
I’ve been in a couple of “book clubs” – one was serious, the other two were just an excuse to be winos. (I quit both of those post haste)
And, they get annoyed if they catch you sneaking your own wine in.
Even more annoyed if you ask to borrow their corkscrew.
