It’s kind of creepy to think that there are people who are obsessed with hating Mike. Who visit his comic page just to barf some hateful rhetoric, while knowing that the world in general doesn’t give a flip, or is even aware, of their vicious diatribes.
I really believe that is a sickness brought on by an addiction to the Internet. To the mistaken impression that the high that you get from spewing words onto a webpage is worth an addiction that will eventually ruin your mind, your ability to socially function in reality, and sometimes, end your life.
It’s not real, nobody really cares about what you post, and it only matters to you. No one else cares. Except for the occasional person who sees what people are doing to themselves, and tries to help.
The Internet feeds poison to a person’s ego. If you can’t delete all of your social media accounts, and stay off of them for 60 days, you’re an addict. (That’s assuming that 60 days is enough time for the social media companies to delete your accounts.)
The Internet is a tool, not a drug. Use it wisely. If you can’t break the habit, seek help.
