Polluting the earth and the oceans is the biggest threat to America and the world. Global warming may or may not be caused by humans but over-fishing, polluting the oceans, poisoning bees and every other thing is caused by humans, mostly humans in advanced countries and countries with severe over-population.

60,000 deer just died in one of the Stans. No rain here for almost 2 months. Chickens dying by the millions as well as bees. When Mr. Ramirez is no longer able to buy food he might change his mind. Or he may eat his money that he values so much.

It is possible to have several problems at the same time and work on all of them. It might help a lot if the Congress would actually get involved and do some constructive problems solving and actually get something done on any one of these issues. Oh! I guess they are too busy campaigning so they don’t have time.

Mr. Ramirez need only read these comments to realize his world is full of people who just don’t want to face reality.

Well, global warming is certainly a big issue that shouldn’t be ignored anymore than these other issues, but when you put it like that, I suppose it does seem like small potatoes in comparison. No wonder people see so reluctant to rally behind it.

In typical political fashion, though, I do think a couple of these are a little exaggerated, namely Russia and probably Iran, as the people involved show their more stuck in the past than interested in moving towards a better future. ISIS is certainly an issue, though, but there’s no right solution for them. We’re in trouble if we don’t act against them, we’re in trouble if we do. And why is it that America’s the only one who’s expected to fix all the world problems? Out of the hundreds of countries in the world, are we really the only one who’s capable of even lifting a finger against ISIS? I mean, sure, that’s probably a gross exaggeration on my part, but I can’t help but think all the other countries in the world could be doing more to fight ISIS too.

    Anyway…

Debt and the shortage of jobs both fall under the economy, and that’s certainly an issue that needs resolving, perhaps more so than global warming in the sense that otherwise we might not actually be able to afford to fight global warming. But I’m no economist, so I won’t pretend I know the right and wrongs of that situation.

China I feel is more of a “wait and see” scenario. They MIGHT become a problem, but for the moment, I’m hesitant to say they’re anything we need to take immediate action against, in light of these other issues.

That’s right, the greatest threat is the climate. The rest is Republican pipe dreams to scare the American people. Booo!

Global warming IS the biggest threat because it will exacerbate all these other issues. It’s both a huge problem on its own and a catalyst that will make these other problems flare up.

Maybe you were a teenager then; both wars were budgeted as “Emergency appropriations” that were not part of the actual US budget. When Obama took over, he put them where they belonged, and the deficit appeared to exceed a trillion dollars. In fact, it already was, but not apparently so through sleight of hand. Unless you think ongoing wars are “emergencies”.If you subtract the tax cuts, wars and 2008 recession, the deficit has been mostly level for years. Although there was none in 2000.

It’s only the CIA and Pentagon warning in reports that climate change IS the biggest threat, that will lead to all of Ramirez’s other fears, coming true, far more aggresively than today.

I live by reason and facts. I fully utilize science and use what I learn to better my life and my community. It must be a horrible life to live in fear and trembling, to be told what to think by a small group sociopath billionaires.

Actually, it’s overpopulation that is the biggest threat to everyone and everything. The solution: war, famine and pestilence.
