Actually, Obama’s machine got voters to forget about the Saddleback Debate (where he copped out on abortion), his “typical white folk” statement, his “guns and religion” statement, Gatesgate, his poor voting record while in Congress (what votes he didn’t miss he frequently voted “present” on rather than make a decision), and a whole host of other gaffes that made it clear how unfit he was.

The market is dictating how many come in now. If there wasn’t a job or better social infrastructure here than in their native countries, none of these people would be here.

Yes, let’s reward those that have broken our laws while at the same time slapping, those that have followed our laws, in the face. There are thousands of legal immigrants to this nation that went through the process to get the appropriate Visa, have waited for their opportunity to take the citizenship test and be recognized as a naturalized citizen. So let’s just forget about all of those people, slap them in the face and tell them tough s**t!No country has open borders, every country has the obligation to protect it’s sovereignty. There are very few 1st or 2nd world countries where you can just walk in, start living there and get a job. You’ll be arrested and deported. Deal with that fact, we should not be any different, if you have entered this country illegally, you should be shown the doorway out and told to come back the legal and legitimate way.

Agreed. Some Republicans think that if they vote for amnesty, they will gain new voters. This is ridiculous since most of the illegals are low-income, non-skilled people that will become our next group of freeloaders. And we know which party freeloaders vote for.If they do work, they will compete for jobs of our own, already struggling, low-skilled workers.

I encourage everybody to write their congressman and say no to amnesty and yes to higher border security. Polls are already showing a growing amount of people against this illegal immigration bill.

The CBO report is in and — no surprise. Granting citizenship to undocumented immigrants will be a huge boon to the US, giving us over $700 billion in deficit reduction because legalized immigrants will pay more in taxes than they take in services. Turns out the conservatives were lying all along about them being deadbeats. Not that they will listen to the CBO (which is generally correct) when they’ve got the Heritage Foundation (which predicted that Bush’s tax cuts would result in 2% unemployment).

LOL, you clearly don’t have a concept of how other countries operate when it comes to immigration. You’re using Juan Corona as some sort of a justification? Really, a single incident from over 40 years ago? Talk about outdated. Oh, and most of the rapes that do occur within those fields you speak of are immigrant on immigrant rape instances, how does amnesty fix that tool?Your focus on Canadians as the other potential immigrants to this country shows your ignorance, there are thousands from all over the globe that come to this country by legal means, they should be granted the privileged of citizenship prior to anyone who has broken the law to get here.Oh, and just because you want to change the definition of country doesn’t mean it happens, there are many countries and nations that still believe in and enforce their sovereignty and also deport illegal aliens.Your argument is weak, your attempt at justification is even weaker.

You make overly broad assumptions without any factual basis for support. The immigration laws in this country are not broken, the fact that they are not enforced is what is broken. Your long winded diatribe doesn’t change that fact either.Your focus is obviously from a racial perspective and I could really care less if you come from Canada, Mexico or Monaco, if you’ve entered this country illegally or have overstayed your student, H2B or whatever visa you used for entry, you should be deported. Pretty simple, maybe even you can understand that, then again I’m making a big assumption there. The only bag O dust here is you. The world has certainly changed, the immigration laws of other nations, which despite your insistence still exist and still claim their sovereignty, have not changed to the level you assume they have. The laws in this nation should be enforced just as they are in Mexico for instance, I can not move to Mexico tomorrow and take a job, but a house or get any government assistance, they show me the proverbial door by DEPORTING ME BACK TO MY COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. Do you get that? Now explain to me how this country should be the only country on this earth that has open borders and should not enforce it’s immigration laws.I can also see from the tone of your response that you will also put your fingers in your ears and not only blather stupidly, but shout at the top of your lungs as well. Provide a well sound and well reasoned argument for the elimination of our borders and the abandonment of our immigration laws. Points off for saying, “it’s already happening” or ’that is the reality," those are not well reasoned or sound and certainly are failed arguments.Do you believe in the tooth fairy too?

We can’t really blame Reagan for signing it, he was senile.
