I thought the US government’s fast and furious operation to provide guns to drug cartels had ended?

Most of the deadly weapons that make their way into Mexico do so with neither the help NOR the hindrance of any branch of any level of government, whether local, state, or federal.

It’s not just Mexicans and South Americans walking across. Chinese have been caught crossing from Mexico as well.

If only we could somehow increase our border controls so that we can better protect Mexico from the transportation of contraband between our countries.

Halt the use of “illegal” drugs in the U.S., either by decriminalizing and giving junkies on hard drugs- FREE drugs or treatment, and legalizing at least medical pot, and decriminalizing “recreational use”, and 99% of the cartel money would dry up.(It would also get destructive pot growers out of our forests and off public lands.)

This is the long term success of the “war on drugs”, just like Afghanistan and Iraq represent the rapid end to the “war on terror”. Hmm interesting these were both Republican started wars. Maybe a more liberal (NOT meaning Democrat btw) review of the real world might have been more effective?
