So after all the years, all the promises, all the grifting, all the lies, just go ahead. Tell us how America is great again?
But take a look at the costs to citizens and small businesses alike first. And at the massive numbers of poor children. And the cuts in things like programs for feeding hungry kids. What has anybody done to actually make life for common citizens better?
Is there better health care? Is there less poverty in the neighborhoods that have been poor for half a century or longer (a lot longer)? Are there more small farms or far, far less than 50 years ago? Are the roads you drive down in good shape no matter where you go? How are the bridges and lights? How are veterans being treated? How much better have students been taught? Are the number of children in a classroom smaller or larger per teacher? Is a college education easier to get and afford? Just how many houses in your area are affordable for people earning less than say, $50,000/year? (Remember when $50,000 sounded like a lot of money?)
Have you worked for decades, invested and saved, but are still scared – not worried but really scared – that you will never be able to retire and live out your days comfortably? What will happen to you or your spouse if either of you get really sick or hurt? What will happen if you need a new roof and a new car suddenly and all at once? Heck, can you even live for more than a few weeks if you have to when the money stops coming in?
Is America great again?
The last time it was really great was when the incredibly rich were taxed up to 90% and had to either pay or use their money to help others (all others, not just their cronies). Oligarchs do not benefit the common people. They only help themselves. They help themselves to what it is that you need.
America will never be great again if you continue to listen to all the lies you’ve been told by oligarchs.
If they can’t even fix the roads, how can they fix health care, schools, veterans care? Or America?
