I really don’t have problem with states collecting taxes for internet sales. In the days when all purchases were in store you had no choice and it seems wrong that state budgets should be starved of traditional revenues. How many chain stores actually have their headquarters in your town? Technically, all they do is ship to a local point for you to make your purchase. Just because a showroom is now online or virtual doesn’t materially change the transaction. You may be at home in your pjs, but the purchase is still local and originates in your state and city.
