They’ve talked about driverless cars off and on since the 1960s. I don’t see it catching on anytime soon. If cars drove themselves, how will people drive like careless psychopaths and endanger the lives of everyone on the road?
1955 GM Autorama, the Firebird “dream car” was intended to follow copper strips laid down in the highway lanes, and require no driver input to travel. With texting and cell phones, we HAVE “driverless” cars, increased accidents, but no copper strips in the highways.

Doesn’t anyone find it at all suspicious that EVERY YEAR, oil companies can tell us what prices will be in 4- 6 months, and GEE! That’s what they are!
