Too many times, you who actually read and comprehend have pointed out how his links do not support his thesis. If he were Michaelwme, then I would know that it was meant to be a refutation of an incorrect position. However, since it’s Harley I cannot make that assumption, as Harley has shown no real talent for satire. There are many who post on this site who clearly are formidable intellects on both sides of the political aisle, and then there are some others…”-Harley posted articles from the Daily Mail and the Christian Post noting an IPCC report admitting (despite pressure from some countries, according to the Mail) that the world’s temperature had not increased in the fifteen years preceding the report. The articles support Harley’s point.-Lonecat noted that the US Delegation wanted to explain the global warming pause through the theory that temperature increases in the world’s oceans. Harley then posted a link to an article stating that “contrary to what many climate scientists had predicted, the world’s deep oceans have not gotten significantly warmer since 2005.” -Lonecat then noted that the article includes extensive language explaining how this does not necessarily invalidate other evidence for the existence of global warming.-The article still supports Harley’s point, which is that a study has not found warming in the deep oceans.. Certainly the article goes on to suggest that there are other possible explanations, but this is speculation and in no way refutes the conclusion of the study that the article reports.-I don’t think that Harley’s link completely refutes the possibility of ocean warming. It only addresses the deep oceans, and it may turn out to be flawed.-But by addressing opposing arguments head-on and by providing links that support his arguments Harley has contributed more to this discussion than you have by belittling Harley in comments directed at third parties. I would expect better from you.
