Why is it that imports like Toyota, Nissan, Audi and BMW have no problem bringing their assembly plants over here? They love it here. High quality, ready work force etc etc….So why are the big 3 sending jobs to Mexico and Canada instead?.Unions. The UAW is pricing themselves right out of the market. The imports don’t use unions, their employees still make a good slalary and everyone wins..I keep waiting for America to wake up to that fact, but I think I’ll be waiting a long time…
Nothing is all good or all bad. Unions may price themselves out of the market, but they’re good for stopping the excesses of management – things like unsafe working conditions, child labor, etc.
Well they can talk till they drop! Nobody bailed any of us out when we fell behind on car payments or house payments due to lost jobs or wages. They just repossessed are cars and homes without any hesitation. But they get in to trouble and get bailed out by our tax dollars. Plus sending American jobs overseas to make their product. I will never buy a so called Big 3 car again. To big to fail my arse!
GM, Chrysler, and Ford all sent their production to Canada and Mexico to kill the UAW. Toyota, Honda, even BMW came here to non-union “right to work states” for the same anti union effort, but at least THEY did provide jobs in the U.S., which, yes did lead to other “union” and “non-union” jobs staying in the U.S. as well. So the question really is: Who ARE the “true American patriots”— is it the TEA party backers who export our jobs, or those who actually employ and provide for we “Americans”??

Let’s compare Honda/Toyoto/BMW cost of management vs GM/Ford/Chrysler.
