I had an embarrassing incident at a school pool outing. Trying to show off that I could dive off the (really) high dive, I hadn’t anticipated that wearing a bikini was the wrong kind of suit for such feats. While the bottom stayed on, the top did NOT. And I had to get out of the pool in front of all my classmates with only my arms covering me. (Of course, some boy had absconded with the top before I could retrieve it). Ugh!
