That's even better still! How about lunch at that Riverside pub? Splendid idea! How much better can a simple walk get?!
Its up to the landlord whether dogs are allowed inside a pub or not. Generally, in the sort of places where people walk dogs, they’ll be allowed into some of the rooms. And they are always allowed in the beer garden – we’ve had a few springlike days recently when that might have been OK [well, OK for an appropriately clad Brit anyway ;-)]
Much the same rules apply to children.
