One wonders about teaching methods. We had to learn some of Aesop’s fables by rote. I swear I can still recite a few of them end to end. That is a lot of hardwired neural pathways… for life. I wonder if we gained any special skills or advantage as a result?
Math is the basis of all science. Our quality of life is almost entirely based on scientific advances. Yet Mallet seems to love to get off by calling math useless while showing off how “smart” a snarky, songwriting janitor is.
