    trips to the supermarket, with all those witless, oblivious old women blocking the aisles with their carts turned sideways, all those young mothers oozing a smug sense of entitlement, all those young men shoplifting, and all those clueless old men standing in the way, are way out of my comfort zone…

    What a miserable state of affairs when parents are less worried — and legitimately so — that their children will be molested by some perverted stranger than that they’ll be infected and killed by a perfectly nice, ordinary nabor.

    I see they are carrying resuable bags. Around here, the bags are no longer allowed because the checkers and baggers don’t want to touch them.
