There really ought to be a course after basic math that teaches things you might actually need to know if you have no intention of going into a field that needs math. Things like deciding how much wall paper will cover that room, how many gallons of weed killer you can make with however many ounces of concentrate—- then let the professors in each specific field teach the math that you need for that field. Who actually remembers anything that they aren’t going to use any longer than it takes to pass the test on it anyway?

Loved algebra, easy peasy, had Mrs. Trigg for I & II, who was my French teacher, too.

Algebra, calculus, trig, geometry, I can hardly remember any of it.
