Speaking from a household that has owned several cats at a time before, I know for a fact that, as nice as it would be, getting yet another cat is not always the best of options. Every household has their limit on how many cats they can adequately support at one time. I’m thinking this family’s limit is probably better left at just the one.
Another solution to this problem, though, is to see if there are any other cats living nearby in the neighborhood, and if so, make arrangements to see if the two cats can be allowed to interact regularly.
