Think of all the time you womenfolk can spend shopping while us menfolk’re watchin’ football!

Haven’t watched a “football” game since ’61. Watched a rugby world cup match on Sunday- more action, more movement, more play, and NO personal body armor!! Okay, maybe a little more bloodshed. Made me think of American penchant for “remote violence” in wars, versus actually taking real risks. Used to associate football with American penchant for violence. Rugby clarified that Americans can only stomach violence if it is “virtual” and harms only others in real life.

Yes, rugby is a much better “life lesson” and every American should play, just once, instead of only watching. THAT is perspective.(if only analogy)

^^JiminNYC- I was too skinny for football, so track, cross -country and martial arts. Learned that when martial arts and intellect couldn’t handle a situation (very rarely the case) “feet do your thing” helped, especially with grizzly bears.
