Steinbauer: My company has transferred me to Minnesota! Ralph: Minnesota?? You mean you're moving to another state?? Steinbauer: That's right! Ralph: Gee, I'm sorry to hear that! Steinbauer: Why would you be sorry? Ralph: Because we'll still be on the same continent!! Doesn't your company have a branch office in outer Mongolia??
I remember those days. Every time I got promoted, we had to move to another state. Every year or, when lucky, two years. California, Mississippi, back to California, Utah, Colorado, Illinois, Florida, Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama. The kids said that they didn’t have to study geography, they lived it.
