Tigger: not true, but Cheney was 71 and had no problem, why? Because he HAD insurance. Private carriers stipulated under ACA still make their own protocols, as have transplant hospitals for quite some time.
My daughter’s father-in-law was 57 and got a liver transplant at the ONLY hospital in the country that would still take him, as an “experiment” outside even THEIR protocols because he was such a mess. It was because he’d refused to obey doctor’s advice for years, and most of his organs were a mess. And no, unlike Larry Hagmann, he never drank in his life.
