Here we go again:
“Bush inhereted a VERY difficult hand..”
I didn’t realize a balance budget, a surplus, peace and prosperity was a difficult hand. Its already been confirmed that Bush received ample warnings as early as December of 2000 that we were gonna get hit. Quit blaming 9/11 on Clinton.
“But then Obama pooched the deficit by adding on more in 3 years than Bush did in 8.”
Obama-era choices account for about $1.7 trillion in new debt. Why do you right wingers insist on saddling Obama with War Shrub’s debt?
“…The plan only passed because they had a supermajority,”
Check the voting record. The Democrats had 58 votes and two independent votes. They did not have a super majority so right off the bat you lie. Second Arlen Specter changed sides before voting for it (technically the only Republican vote). Third why would Americans want to repeal something that expands medicare (insures 30 million Americans who can’t afford health care) and something that will give them a tax break for buying insurance?
“More and more we are finding that his “stimulus” package was actually a favor payback to his supporters.”
Yeah? Like who? While you’re busy making up an answer let me clue you in on what the Examiner found about the stimulus: Each job cost about $25,000, not $250,000. Second it created or saved 5 to 25 million jobs. A link to the CBO is also provided within my link. Or I can provide you with the actual report.
“He had a bad hand.”
The War Shrub did not have a bad hand, he created one. He approved the deregulation of Wall Street which induced the financial crisis. He also filled every branch of gubbermint with cronies who did not keep an eye on their respective industries, which lead to Enron and Arthur Anderson among other things. He also cut funding to regulatory agencies like the Deparment of Agriculture, which is why you had Mad Cow and other diseases break out. And remember Katrina (no he did not cause the hurricane quit with the strawman) where he gutted FEMA and the slow response in New Orleans. Then there’s the two wars he got us into (and never looked back). And don’t forget the round of tax cuts for the rich which crippled our gubbermint. The list of his idiocies is long and consistent with right wing ideology, which includes expanding big gubbermint (TSA).
