Stupid kids. You should have left two cookies (so as to account for the use of plural), and nobody wuold have been wiser.
That depends on how many cookies there were. But it’s really not safe to send kids over there with cookies and expect them not to sample a few.

I suspect Grandma never intended the cookies to arrive safely but without them the pie wouldn’t have either!
